Lightning Special: Why "Shards of Lightning"?

Many people ask me, why I named the girls group as The Shards of Lightning, instead of just Lightning Gurlz or anything like that.This time I'm not going to say "Because I said so!". I have prepared three answers; personal answer, artistic answer, reasonable answer. You need to be prepared to know it.

Personal answer:
Just to make a difference. I love to do what people think I'm not gonna do. The name "Shards of Lightning" is unexpected. When first I published the "Lightning Boyz" name-frame, I assumed everyone will expecting the next name-frame will be "Lightning Gurlz" or "Lightning Beauties" (urghh.. its killing me). The name "Shards of Lightning" came in my whim since I've decided to draw them. At the beginning, I don't want to publish it, but why I publish it anyway? To next anwer.

Artistic answer:
The second reason is because I think, it is kind of artistic. If you are watching Naruto (I know they are lot in Boyz who watch it), the technique use by Kakashi and Sasuke used to be the same (Chidori), but Kakashi renamed it "Raikiri" after the incident where he cuts the lightning (not our Lightning) by using it. Yeah, there is a history behind the "Shards of Lightning" name. What it is? Next answer.

Reasonable Answer:
This is where I will answer all questions above. Why I published it even though I don't want to do so? Why "Shards of Lightning"? It is because... they used to be one at the beginning. When they break into several groups, they becomes shards. This maybe just inside my mind, and not necessarily true.

Five Lines of Five Shards

The Boyz always do things together, unless some of us have excuses and cannot join. But sometimes when the Shards intervened, the Boyz have to be separated (it happened to me once, and it hurts me very much). Like a shard that usually sharp, it splits anything it touch. That is the reason why I don't want to publish it (but I still want to draw it), because a real artist can't resist expressing their feelings toward their artworks. But not everyone in the Shards is like that.

The fact is, it is the reality of this world. Boys can't forever always be with boys, and so do girls. One day, we all will be separated to follow our own paths. We will have our own family and cannot always hang out even with our best friends. The important thing is to believe that the friendship will always live in our memory, even though we are no longer together.
